Position Summary The Accounting Manager will lead the general ledger (GL) account reconciliation function, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all reconciliation activities. This role is ideal for an experienced accountants with strong leadership skills, a process improvement mindset, and experience in financial services. Key Responsibilities + Oversee the GL account reconciliation process, ensuring timely and accurate completion. + Maintain and enforce reconciliation standards and documentation protocols. + Review and complete reconciliations as needed; ensure proper sign-offs and aging analysis. + Monitor and report on aged reconciling items, reserves, and write-offs. + Collaborate with internal teams on GL maintenance and issue resolution. + Lead automation and technology implementation efforts (e.g., BlackLine). + Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external audits related to reconciliations. + Manage onsite and outsourced accounting resources. + Lead accounting projects related to new products/services and process improvements. Requirements Qualifications + Minimum 10+ years of accounting experience in the financial services industry. + At least 3 years of management experience. + Strong understanding of GL reconciliation processes and accounting standards. + Experience with reconciliation tools and automation platforms (BlackLine preferred). + Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. + Proven ability to lead projects and implement process improvements.
