Clinic Director - Yakima, WA

Compensation: $120,000 to $130,000 per year  

Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a Clinical Director with an Occupational Therapy background for a clinic that offers services tailored to the specific needs of the communities they serve. They use their experience as a national healthcare provider to provide services that are designed specifically to meet those local needs.

About the Job:

The Clinic Director is responsible for the overall operation of the clinic and assures the quality of patient care delivery through physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology services provided by the clinic. The Director also provides leadership and professional growth opportunities for all staff and is responsible for departmental financial planning, budget preparation, and operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a reasonable budget and operate the department within the budgeted parameters;

  • Set programmatic and financial goals for the department and conduct an annual review to determine the achievement of the goals;

  • Ensure that the department meets established productivity goals;

  • Delegate responsibility to support staff;

  • Provide regular supervision to direct report staff, including annual performance appraisals and personal/professional goal development;

  • Conduct and document timely performance appraisals;

  • Complete all annual mandatory training and certification requirements;

  • Attend continuing education opportunities appropriate to responsibilities;

  • Assist direct reports in accessing appropriate continuing education opportunities;

  • Represent the department within the community;

  • Plan and implement business development and outreach objectives;

  • Supervise the hiring of clinic staff;

  • Coordinate the implementation of new programs into the clinic;

  • Attend Corporate meetings as required;

  • Monitor customer satisfaction and work to resolve any issues;

  • Monitor monthly performance against budget and key management indicators and ensure intervention as indicated;

  • Prepare and submit reports on clinic operations to RPM Corporate as required;

  • Ensure maintenance and implementation of a current clinic policy and procedures manual;

  • Assure clinic regulatory compliance;

  • Recommend capital equipment, supplies, and space needs to the corporation;

  • Participate in orientation and in-service training opportunities as available;

  • As a licensed therapist, perform the duties of a therapist as outlined in the specific job description for the discipline, when staffing levels demand; and

  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology

  • Currently licensed as an Occupational Therapist in Washington

  • Certification, if applicable, and demonstrated competency in identified areas of specialization, including training for age-specific groups

  • Proven leadership ability with at least two (2) years of experience as a clinician in an outpatient rehabilitation program

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a management position

  • Demonstrated organizational ability to plan and supervise the services and activities of Department staff

  • Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate skills relative to management, planning, budgeting, and marketing

  • Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance guidelines

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated competency in the assessment of patients and the development/implementation of treatment plans

  • Proficient in a variety of computer programs

  • Affiliation with a national professional association preferred
