Overview

Hello! Jubilee is in search of a Creative Director who has a powerful understanding of what it takes to succeed and grow on YouTube! As we continue to grow, this Creative Director role will be crucial in owning Jubilee’s content and programming strategies. This Creative Director will also lead all of Jubilee’s programming initiatives; understanding how to leverage performance data to optimize our content and achieve our viewership targets. The ideal candidate is a creative at heart with immense knowledge of and passion for the YouTube landscape!

The Job

As the Creative Director, you will take on a role that is ultimately responsible for ensuring our content is savvy, mission-aligned, and entertaining. You’ll report directly to the CEO & also work closely with other key leaders in the company, using your expertise to create a strong creative culture that leads to high performing digital content from our team of Creatives.

• Understand Jubilee’s mission and vision, developing a deep understanding of what works on our channel and why
• Lead all programming decisions and manage the release calendar for YT, SnapChat, Spotify, and other distribution channels while reviewing performance analytics and making recommendations for how to improve distribution efforts
• Confidently strategize and efficiently lead our team on how to optimize channel and viewership performance
• Lead Jubilee’s programming strategy & initiatives; proactively analyzing & understanding what will help the channel achieve strong performance.
• Inspire & motivate a team of Senior Creatives and empower them to create and lead the creation of high performing digital content that expands Jubilee’s audience and embodies our mission
• Partner with Leadership to set & adjust viewership targets for all shows based on channel history and projected output via Youtube analytics
• Provide meaningful input and recommendations to our creative teams around new show development
• Establish a culture that promotes and rewards creative excellence & risk-taking
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize the performance of each aspect of our content: packaging, editing, casting and topics
• Manage performance expectations for Senior Creatives, including establishing performance metrics, conducting performance reviews, 1-on-1 meetings, and guiding them to become strong Creative Leaders at Jubilee
• Partner with HR to lead all recruiting efforts for new Creative talent to join Jubilee and develop ways to teach, motivate and grow Directors
  
   

Who You Are

• 5+ years of experience in Youtube production & content / programming strategy
• Possess a strong creative mindset that also is able to balance people leadership & empowerment
• Fluent in performance analytics and able to use performance data to effectively inform content programming strategies
• A bold thinker who is fearless in your pursuit of developing engaging, mission driven content that will speak to young audiences
• Passionate about creator culture and leverage your curiosity to remain up to date with the latest trends and creative strategies that are being used by the biggest channels on YT
• Experienced Director for digital content; you understand the ins and outs of production, and have an empathetic leadership style

• Energized by working in a collaborative, flexible, and creative environment and able to help Jubilee make smart, strategic decisions fast

• Comfortable working with Google Suite, Slack, Asana, Frame.io or other similar software
