Summary: The Cyber Security SME III is responsible for providing expert advice, developing technical solutions, and supporting cyber security projects. The role involves leading special projects, preparing and delivering analyses, and ensuring compliance with enterprise-wide policies. Candidates should have significant experience and relevant certifications.

Position Info:

• Title: Cyber Security SME III.
• Client: Peraton.
• Duration: 3 Months.
• Location: 8111 Gatehouse Road Suite 600, Falls Church, VA 22042.
• Clearance: Public Trust.

Responsibilities:

• Provide objective advice and specialized skills for cyber security projects.
• Prepare and deliver analyses and presentations to various stakeholders.
• Ensure proper use of engineering, configuring, programming, testing, and documentation techniques.
• Lead special projects and research new technologies.
• Serve as a point of contact for engineering efforts, ensuring solution integrity and compliance.
• Develop innovative technical solutions to complex problems.
• Respond to security threats, alerts, and incidents promptly.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in cyber security or related field, or 5 years with a related Master’s degree.
• Extensive technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant certifications (one or more required):
  • CompTIA Net+.
  • CompTIA A+.
  • CompTIA Security+.
  • GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC).
  • ISC2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP).
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security.
  • Certified Penetration Testing Engineer (CPTE).
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
  • Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE).
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
  • Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).
• Ability to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance.
• US Citizenship or permanent residency status required.
