Four-Day Work Week (Monday to Thursday) 34-hour Full Time Position

Energy Inspector - GLCAP Fremont HQ - 7:00 am to 4:00 pm

Summary: Manage projects and perform initial/in-progress/final inspections of homes in accordance with all eligible funding source requirements ensuring all leveraging opportunities and services are maximized and achieved in each home.

Education:

Required High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) and the ability to obtain Inspector Series Certification from OWTC, Lead EPA RRP Certification, and EA/QCI certification from BPI within six months.

Experience:

Three to five years' experience in weatherization or construction.

As a condition of employment, the following are additional requirements:

  1. Initial and periodic Motor Vehicle Records checks, maintain a valid driver's license, and maintain a safe driving record.
  2. Must have insured, dependable transportation available for daily use.
  3. Must submit to initial and/or periodic state and/or federal criminal checks.
  4. Must submit to initial and periodic drug and alcohol testing.
  5. Ability to be reached by cellular phone during business hours and after hours.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Perform initial inspections specifying all required corrective actions in accordance with program(s) guidance while ensuring all leveraged opportunities and services are maximized.
    2. Educate clients about the program(s), processes, and work that will be performed.
    3. Perform final inspections on completed work and confirm all initial corrective actions were addressed and installed properly with an acceptable level of quality in accordance with all program requirements.
    4. Manage assigned projects; prepare and review work orders, change orders, collection forms, cost estimates, invoicing and NEAT audits; monitor costs, and report variances.
    5. Provide training and technical assistance to staff and sub-contractors in all areas including safety.
