Now Hiring! Manager of Textile Product Development
Location: Remote
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 annually
We are looking for a dedicated Manager of Textile Product Development to oversee the successful execution of our product development process. In this role, you will ensure the timely delivery of exquisite textile rental products that meet our design, quality, and value goals. The Manager of Textile Product Development will manage the entire product lifecycle, from concept to order placement and ongoing product performance. This role requires strong communication skills with vendors and overseas sources, strict adherence to timelines, and effective collaboration across teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Research and Analysis:
Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and industry developments.
Analyze competitor offerings and market gaps to inform strategic product development.
Conceptualization and Design:
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to generate innovative product ideas.
Transform conceptual ideas into tangible prototypes, focusing on fabric selection, color schemes, and pattern development.
Product Development:
Lead the product development lifecycle ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
Manage communication with vendors and overseas suppliers to achieve seamless product launches.
Ensure cross-functional alignment across Sales, Production, and Marketing teams.
Provide expert guidance on all product-related matters, fostering a team-oriented and detail-oriented environment.
Adapt flexibly to evolving business needs and multi-task efficiently.
Quality Assurance:
Establish rigorous quality standards and specifications for all textile products.
Conduct thorough testing and evaluation procedures to uphold product integrity and customer satisfaction.
Address any quality issues or production challenges promptly and effectively.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams to develop compelling product messaging and sales strategies.
Provide necessary product training and support to internal stakeholders and external partners.
Qualifications:
3-6 years of experience in Product Development and management, preferably in textiles or home goods.
Bachelor's degree required; specialization in Textile Design, Merchandising, or Interior Design preferred.
Strong understanding of product budgeting, performance requirements, materials, and production processes.
Proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and thrive in a dynamic environment.
Excellent communication skills with experience in resolving complex issues with both domestic and international partners.
