Position Overview:

The Market Intelligence analyst will lead consumer electronics market analyses that result in actionable recommendations for competitive marketplace advantages. This function is tasked with enabling Samsung's sales and marketing teams to position Samsung products to outsell competition. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies. They will also develop and implement statistical/forecasting models to analyze complex datasets and predict future outcome.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Predict sales and price trends for Samsung and competition
• Support the Market Intelligence team in weekly industry and company sales analyses for all major Home Entertainment product categories
• Create and maintain a bot to garner publicly available market intelligence (promotional information, prices, etc.) on retailer.com
• Automate reporting process

Necessary Skills / Attributes:

• High degree of proficiency in statistics, Python, HTML and Microsoft Excel are required
• Must have an advanced knowledge of modeling and forecasting
• Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills (verbal and written). Frequent interactions with Product Marketing teams to ensure complex data is presented in a cohesive and efficient manner
• Team oriented, yet able to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Management of Consumer Marketing Copy & Creative Deliverables

• Work collaboratively with creative agencies and cross-functional teams to develop high-quality and engaging copy
• Manage timelines and project schedules to ensure timely delivery of copy assets
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to copywriters and agency teams
• Coordinate with external agencies and vendors to facilitate efficient creative reviews, approvals and production processes
• (Ad-hoc basis) write and edit original copy for Consumer Marketing asset needs, including Paid Media (OLA, OLV, Social, Search) and Partnerships.
  

Background / Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics or data engineering
• Bachelor's degree in marketing or engineering/Information Systems
