Description:
Are you looking for a workplace that feels like family? We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as an MDS Coordinator. This role is essential in overseeing the RAI process and ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations, and company standards.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee the RAI process and complete assessments for residents in accordance with regulations.
* Assist in the care needs of residents as necessary.
* Provide leadership and collaborate harmoniously with both professional and non-professional staff.
* Implement and adhere to the goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Nursing department.
* Stay updated on best practices and current standards in the clinical field.
* Address resident inquiries or complaints, directing them to appropriate medical staff.
* Facilitate communication between residents, family members, medical staff, and regulatory agencies.
* Understand and follow company policies.
* Conduct interviews with residents or their representatives to identify care-related issues.
* Clearly explain policies, procedures, or services to residents in a comprehensible manner.
Skills and Abilities:
* MDS experience is preferred.
* Strong understanding of nursing practices and regulations governing long-term care facilities.
* Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
* Knowledge of financial concepts related to the RAI process, including RUGs and case mix components.
Certificates and Licenses:
* RN degree from an accredited college, with current licensure in good standing.
* RAC-CT certification is preferred but not required.
* CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation; must remain current throughout employment.

Experience Required:
* Minimum of 2 years in MDS utilization review.
