About the opportunity

Are you a practicing Solution Architect, Solution Engineer, Software Engineer, Technical Partner Manager, Support Engineer, or equivalent, who has experience working with Contentful or other API-first composable content systems? Do you enjoy helping others acquire new skills by creating technical documentation, how-to videos, or other media? Or maybe you’ve done some, but not all of these things. That’s OK too.

We’re looking to hire a multi-talented, technically savvy CMS expert with a keen understanding of major commerce and marketing technology platforms and current web technologies who can help us continue to create the industry’s most creative, impactful, and engaging learning experiences. Formal experience in instructional design/learning experience design is preferred, but not required.

This role will report into the Learning Services team and is not a people management role.

What to expect?

• You will research how different Contentful users are leveraging our platform to identify learning outcomes and scope high-impact learning materials 
• Work across GTM and CX orgs (Learning Services, Support, PS), to build enablement programs, including training sessions, workshops, and certification programs
• Implementation training and certifications for delivery teams
• Product training and certifications for more technical developer teams
• Product training and certifications for less technical business teams
• You will own the end-to-end design, development, and release of new learning materials (self-paced courses, videos, simulations, documents, job aids, etc.) for the Contentful Learning Center  
• You will design comprehension checks and assessment activities that accurately gauge learners’ ability to use Contentful software for real-world tasks 
• You will measure and analyze the impact of learning materials and continuously maintain and update content to better support business and learning goals 
• You will seek continuous improvement in the areas of operational excellence, scalability, efficiency, and learning effectiveness

What you need to be successful?

• At least 5 years experience as a Solution Architect or other technical role, preferably in a customer- and/or partner-facing capacity
• At least 3 years experience working with Contentful, Drupal, AEM, Sitecore, or other API-first composable content systems
• Understanding of major commerce and marketing technology platforms
• Proven experience with current web technologies (React or other JavaScript frameworks, REST and GraphQL APIs, CDNs, etc.) 
• Experience working with content personalization, experimentation, and analytics tools
• Strong understanding of composable/MACH architecture and methodologies
• Agency/SI implementation partner experience a plus
• You enjoy teaching others and creating learning content such as videos and knowledge base articles 
• You are well-organized and can easily guide large projects through various stages of development while still meeting tight deadlines
• You thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly-evolving environment that requires juggling multiple time-sensitive projects

• Bachelor’s degree in a learning or technology-related field

Colorado Salary Statement: The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.

Colorado Salary Range: $130,000 - $145,000
[This position is eligible for equity awards in accordance with the terms of Contentful’s equity plans.]
