CCHCS seeks to fill a Permanent, Full-Time Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker I position in the Medical Services, Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment/Complex Care Programs.
Under general direction of the Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker II for Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment (ISUDT)/Complex Care Programs, the Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker I (SPSW I) is responsible for assisting in the preparation and improvement of program policies and procedures within the medical services division of integrated and complex care. The SPSW I provides leadership and supervises Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) statewide to ensure standards of patient care are consistent with applicable State Law, rules, regulations, policies and procedures. This position may require occasional travel.

Knowledge and experience with applying the principles and practices of administrative and clinical supervision, evaluating subordinates work, and giving in-service training; the Department's Affirmative Action Program objectives; a supervisor's role in the Affirmative Action Program and the processes avaliable to meet affirmative action objectives. Ability to supervise licensed staff providing social work services, including group and individual psychotherapy, assessments, and case management, and apply the principles of mental and physical health education.
Demonstrates effective personnel management strategies, time management skills, thoughtful program development direction and ability to monitor program efficiency and compliance. Experience working with people afflicted with substance use disorder, co-occurring disorders, psychosocial aspects of addiction; familiar with best practices in addiction and recovery, etiology of trauma, neurobiological effects of trauma, developmental issues including; mental, cognitive, and physical disabilities, and mental health and community resources.
